I was inspired to set up Creative Cockpits while working as a volunteer at RAF Millom museum in 2008. As a pilot and flight simulator enthusiast, I was keen to share my passion for flying with as many people as I could. None of the exhibits were suitable for conversion to a simulator so with the help of a good friend Phillip Hall, we set about creating our own cockpit using CAD. RAF Millom Museum closed in 2011 but the cockpits continue to help tell the story of World War 2.
